Daily reset: 00:00 EST (UTC−5). Weekly reset: Monday 00:00 EST. Summer uses the same fixed UTC−5 clock. Rankings are separate for each quiz mode. Only your first answer to each question per EST day counts; weekly records include those daily answers. Speed uses server-measured time from opening a question to receiving its answer. An unanswered question abandoned for a new run breaks your current streak. Guests keep their Guest# number in this browser; signed-in records follow your account from a new run.

        How to play & sources

Choose a challenge or mix all seven question types. Each run has up to 10 or 20 different mobs. Pick one of four answers; you earn one point for a correct answer. A wrong answer resets your streak. Review every answer at the end, or start a new run.

Health and damage use health points (HP): 2 HP equals one heart. Damage questions name the difficulty and attack conditions, before armor or resistance. XP questions exclude equipment bonuses unless explicitly stated. Item drops use the standard Java 26.3 loot tables, with the appropriate kill conditions.

Timeline answers use the first full release, or the original Classic, Alpha, or Beta build for older mobs. Experimental introductions and texture-only previews do not count. Cat means the separate cat entity. Each answer links to its evidence.

Mob images are original Minecraft images credited to Mojang Studios / Minecraft. Their publisher source is linked below each image. Images may depict promotional scenes; the written question specifies the gameplay conditions. This is an independent fan-made quiz.

No account is needed. Personal bests are stored per mode and run length in this browser. If fewer unique mobs are available, the run is shorter.

        How question tiers work

Every question has its own community difficulty tier. The order below runs from easiest to hardest. This is the question’s difficulty, separate from your personal score.

        1. LT5
        2. MT5
        3. HT5
        4. LT4
        5. MT4
        6. HT4
        7. LT3
        8. MT3
        9. HT3
        10. LT2
        11. MT2
        12. HT2
        13. LT1
        14. MT1
        15. HT1

New questions start at HT5, marked provisional until five answers are counted. After every five counted answers, the tier moves by at most one step toward its community accuracy target. More correct answers move it toward LT5; fewer correct answers move it toward HT1. Two initial correct and two incorrect observations smooth small samples, so a few answers do not cause a sudden jump.

Only the first answer per question per browser per UTC day counts toward community statistics. Replaying still updates your score. An anonymous browser cookie keeps these daily counts separate; no sign-in is needed. Tier changes and counts are shared across players and saved on the server. If syncing is unavailable, you can keep playing, but the displayed tier may be outdated.

Choose a mob topic or mix the questions

Practice recognizing mobs or test their health, attack damage, drops, experience, and update history. Each question states the relevant conditions; a mob’s variant, difficulty, or attack type can matter when comparing possible answers.

        Learn from each answer

Read the explanation and evidence link, then review your choices at the end of the run. Choose Added version in the topic menu for release history, or Behavior & trivia for mob habits and mechanics. You can also return to all Minecraft quizzes for blocks, items, and trivia.
